Psychologist (PhD/PsyD):

Yes.

The Affirmative Couch, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Affirmative Couch, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

2. How many CEs are required by my state?

Licensed psychologists are required 40 hours of CE every 2 years, including 2 credits in ethics or forensics. Licensed Specialists in School Psychology are required 50 hours of CE every 2 years, including 2 credits in ethics or law.

3. How many CEs can be taken online by my state?

All 40 hours can be taken online

LMFT:

1. Do CEs from the Affirmative Couch count for my state and license?

Yes.

The Affirmative Couch, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Affirmative Couch, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

2. How many CEs are required by my state?

40 continuing education hours, including 3 clock hours of training in ethics that specifically addresses ethics for licensed marriage and family therapy and 6 hours in diagnosis and treatment under DSM-5.

3. How many CEs can be taken online by my state?

Maximum of 20 credits may be obtained through an online format

Social Workers:

1. Do CEs from the Affirmative Couch count for my state and license?

No. All CEs for Social Workers in Louisiana need to be from an ASWB provider. The Affirmative Couch, LLC is not a ASWB provider at this time, but hopes to be in the future.

Professional Counselors:

1. Do CEs from the Affirmative Couch count for my state and license?

No. All CEs for Professional Counselors in Louisiana need to be from an NBCC provider. The Affirmative Couch, LLC is not a NBCC provider at this time, but hopes to be in the future.
