The Affirmative Couch, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Affirmative Couch, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
2. How many CEs are required by my state?
60 hours of continuing education every 3 years, including a minimum of 4 hours of professional ethics. Psychologists are also required to take 6 hours in suicide assessment, treatment, and management every 6 years.
3. How many CEs can be taken online by my state?
All 60 hours can be completed online (with qualifying suicide course)
LMFT:
1. Do CEs from the Affirmative Couch count for my state and license?
Yes. Washington accepts APA, NBCC, and ASWB CE.

WA state LMFTs can earn 26 of the 36 hours through distance learning courses.
LICSW and LASW:
1. Do CEs from the Affirmative Couch count for my state and license?
No. All CEs for Social Workers in Washington need to be from an ASWB provider. The Affirmative Couch, LLC is not a ASWB provider at this time, but hopes to be in the future.
Licensed Mental Health Counselors:
1. Do CEs from the Affirmative Couch count for my state and license?
Yes. The board accepts APA and NBCC.
