Get to know me:

I am an aspiring Producer and Director, born in Japan, and raised in the Philippines; I began my career as a model for television commercials. From there my passion for the entertainment industry evolved from being in front of the lens to behind it. I started producing and hosting my own local television show Behind the Scenes with Nikki Taylor in the city of Cebu and was broadcast on a local television channel RCTV 36. The show ran for 4 years.

Desiring to become a bigger fish in a larger pond, I moved to the United States to pursue a degree in Film. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Studies from the University of Colorado – Boulder. While in college, I produced and directed various short films: Daughter (2011), Fade (2012), The Vanished Tear (2014), The Broken Screen (2014). I also got an opportunity to work in the camera department on my first feature length film: Bill the Galactic Hero (2014).

Following graduation, I immediately began my path in the film industry as a production assistant/coordinator, camera operator, field producer, and editor for various production companies in Boulder, Denver, New York, Los Angeles and Mexico. I currently live in Los Angeles, California where I collaborate with fellow aspiring filmmakers and work freelance on various projects while working full time in television.

What does affirmative psychotherapy mean to me?

It means acceptance, freedom and support for one’s true self without having to be put in a box. Be you and be true, that’s all the world needs to know.

Random Fact:

I’ve lived in 6 countries in the span of 30 years (Japan, Papua New Guinea, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Philippines and the United States).
