What do I do? I perform various proofreading tasks for The Affirmative Couch, such as revising articles that are submitted to Out on the Couch and presenter Powerpoints.

Get to know me (50 words max): I have been working as a professional proofreader for eight and a half years. I am a big Disney and Harry Potter fan, and enjoy spending my free time at their theme parks. I love animals and am a proud cat mama to a fluffy tuxie named Socks.

What does affirmative psychotherapy mean to me? A supportive environment where a client’s uniqueness is embraced and celebrated, and where they are not pressured or obliged to fit into a standard heteronormative cisgender space if their true self does not fit there. It is a place where they are able to receive care that is supportive rather than corrective.

Random Fact: My favorite flavor combination is chocolate, peanut butter, and banana, and will gladly eat (almost) anything with some combination of the three.
