Zander Keig is an award-winning social worker (2020 National Social Worker of the Year, 2018 California Social Worker of the Year), public speaker, sought-after workshop facilitator (including WPATH GEI Advanced Behavioral Health Courses), and trans community organizer. Zander was instrumental in establishing and developing the Navy Medicine West Regional Transgender Care Team July 2016 – December 2016 and managed a caseload of 225 active-duty service members navigating a gender transition while stationed on military bases across Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Western USA (December 2016 – January 2019). Zander is co-editor of the 2011 Lambda Literary Transgender Nonfiction Finalist Letters for My Brothers: Transitional Wisdom in Retrospect (Rohrer & Keig, 2011), co-editor of the 2015 Lambda Literary Transgender Nonfiction Nominee for Manning Up: Transsexual Men on Finding Brotherhood, Family & Themselves (Keig & Kellaway, 2014), co-editor of the 2016 book Manifest: Transitional Wisdom on Male Privilege (Rohrer & Keig, 2016), a contributing author of Adult Transgender Care – An Interdisciplinary Approach for Training Mental Health Professionals (Kauth & Shipherd, 2017), and the introduction author of You and Your Gender Identity – A Guide to Discovery (Hoffman-Fox, 2017).
