What does affirmative psychotherapy mean to me?
Affirmative psychotherapy is a chance to show clients that who they are matters and has meaning in this world. Validating the feelings and experiences of the traumatized and disenfranchised humanizes people and encourages folx to love themselves and practice self compassion, sometimes for the very first time. That process contributes to the bloom and blossom of their joy, wellness, and hope in this world.

What populations do I work with? What is my level of expertise (friendly, knowledgeable, expert) for each of those populations?
I love working with people– all ages, genders, sexualities, backgrounds, religions, and races. Various abilities and neurodivergencies create a balanced, and I am happy to serve and provide emotional support & tools to help increase problem-solving and social skills.

I bring empathy, laughter, and culturally affirming vibes that help people feel at home and safe while practicing vulnerability during therapy sessions. My therapeutic approach is empowering, afrocentric, strength-based, positive, feminist, eclectic, and queer/kink friendly. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to help reframe and affirm client experiences.
